The other day, after picking up a copy of Marjorie Argosin's Cartographies, I began putting together a book list based on thoughts on travel. What does it mean when someone in the diaspora travels to / through / into cities here / abroad / elsewhere. In my 20s, I did a significant amount of traveling to and living in England, Ireland, and countries in Europe, feeling quintessentially American.
